Well, maybe economics is not the right word. Business, or financial?
We know that the big boys report financial news already, and I mean CNN, MSNBC, FOX, Bloomberg, local news, etc etc. What my list does tho, is something like a complementary report. These guys below report what the big boys won’t. I even think they are my real news source, not the big boys.
- Jim Sinclair’s Mineset - He talks about gold a lot, and everyday you get a report on how gold and silver trades during the day. He also puts up news from major news network, either to agree, disagree or to make a point.
- Daily Reckoning - They are based in Australia, but travel the world to see the economic conditions in each? They write about Australia’s economy, the USA’s, and other continents’. I like the Mogambo Guru write up, it makes me smile.
- 321 Gold - They write editorials about gold and silver, and other metals. These people are traders, I suppose. Very focused on the movement of metals and the reason behind it. They also post relevant big boys’ news.
- Europac.net - They are a full brokerage company. The president, Peter Schiff, is a bear market believer. He has been saying for years about how the US economy will collapse due to the dollar crashing and the financial debt. He writs articles every few days, and highlights news from major news networks also.
- The International Forecaster - They are also believers of the dollar collapse and the gold soaring. Mainly for the same reasons as the people above. It is not a daily reporting, but a paid subscription service. I check their website because they put up some of their paid report for free after a week or so.
- Financial Sense -A fairly new addition to my list, and I really like it. This is a broad reporting, they cover a broad spectrum, and have editorials and interviews from people above. A really good site, one can be updated through this site alone. It’s pretty comprehensive.
- Butler Research - Also a paid subscription but the free archive is a gem! So many great insights that you will not see in a lot of places. He is a big goldie, and believes that silver is the best stock in the world. He wrote a long write up about that is really worth reading. Heck, his entire posts from 2000 are worth reading.
- Silver Stock Report - Same deal, paid subscription with free info. This is another look at the silver market. Also a good site to learn more about silver.
- Ron Paul Forums on the Economics section - RP supporters are waking up to the reality that the financial system is broken. This leads to discussions about the economy and what to do. Posters also let the forums know about what’s being written out there. Interesting site to see what people are thinking, and you learn about all sorts of things.
Ever since I knew about Ron Paul, economics become fun again! I still don’t know much about it, but reading the list above daily taught me a thing or two. It’s great. I actually wake up in the morning and look forward to reading these people’s take on the economy. How geeky =) Hehe.
I should probably set up an RSS for all these, too bad they don’t have that feature…I wonder is there’s a workaround though..

I often tend to contemplate a little harder about all sorts of stuff right after I discover somebody new’s site and their particular posts. This and some other posts on your website here definitely offer some stuff to consider. I actually ended up here through Yahoo when I had been doing some research for the course work which I have. I’m happy that I decided to stick around and I most certainly will be certain to add your details to my bookmarks so i can read what you post later on. Cheers!
